Since assuming office in August 2022, the administration of H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe has implemented a total of 2,931 development projects across Kitui County.

These interventions span all 40 wards and 247 villages, touching every sector of the county economy and social life.

The projects reflect a deliberate focus on inclusive growth, service delivery, and transformation under the Kitui Promise development agenda.

Today, we break down the achievements sector by sector. Let's look at:

Milestones in the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT & VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The Education Department has implemented 354 projects, focusing on access, equity, and skills development.

A key achievement is the employment of 1,688 ECDE teachers on permanent and pensionable terms, significantly improving early childhood education.

Through bursary programmes, over 33,000 learners have benefited from financial support worth KSh 244.8 million.

Additionally, the county has supported vocational training through payment of examination fees for 7,050 trainees placed at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), recruitment of instructors, and ongoing reforms to strengthen TVET institutions.

The 2,931 projects implemented under the Malombe administration reflect a transformative development journey anchored on equity, inclusivity, and service delivery.

Every department has contributed to building a stronger, more resilient, and economically empowered Kitui County.
