Let's look at:  The FINANCE, ECONOMIC PLANNING AND REVENUE MANAGEMENT The department has implemented revenue and fiscal management reforms supporting all 2,931 projects. Own Source Revenue has grown from KSh 361 million in 2021/2022 Financial Year to KSh 996 million in 2024/2025 Financial Year, representing a 176% increase. KITUI Digital Reporter   Health facilities in Kitui County are currently experiencing the benefits of the Facility Improvement Financing (FIF) Act, a framework that allows revenue collected by the health facilities retained and utilized by the same facilities to improve healthcare services. Under the FIF Act, revenue generated through hospital services is retained and utilized to support service delivery, including purchase of essential drugs, improvement of infrastructure, maintenance of equipment and enhancement of patient care among others.  However, the funds collected have to be appropriated through the County Budget process to ensure accountability and proper utilization of public resources.
