Governor Julius Malombe’s administration has rolled out close to 3,000 development projects across Kitui’s 40 wards and 247 villages.
From Health and Water to Roads, Agriculture and Education, the projects paint the picture of an administration focused on grassroots transformation.
Today, we break down the achievements sector by sector. Let's look at the milestones in:
The DEPARTMENT OF ROADS, PUBLIC WORKS & TRANSPORT
The Roads Department has delivered 389 projects, making it one of the most visible transformation sectors in the county.
Key achievements include grading of over 7,000 km of roads to improve road connectivity, opening of over 1000km new rural roads, and construction of culverts, drifts, slabs, and box culverts.
The county, in collaboration with the National Construction Authority (NCA) has also trained 4,000 local contractors, enhancing their technical capacity and improving infrastructure delivery standards within and beyond the County.
The 2,931 projects implemented under the Malombe administration reflect a transformative development journey anchored on equity, inclusivity, and service delivery.
Each department has contributed to building a stronger, more resilient, and economically empowered Kitui County.
