Governor Julius Malombe’s administration has rolled out close to 3,000 development projects across Kitui’s 40 wards and 247 villages.

From Health and Water to Roads, Agriculture and Education, the projects paint the picture of an administration focused on grassroots transformation.

We break down the achievements sector by sector. Let's look at:

DECENTRALIZED UNITS AND PUBLIC SERVICE MANAGEMENT

This department has delivered 1,534 CLIDP projects across the 40 Wards, making it the largest grassroots-driven development programme. This has promoted equitable development and improved the livelihoods of county residents.

It has also improved service delivery through promotion of staff, salary regularization and payment on time, establishment of ward offices, and strengthening of administrative structures across all 40 wards. Over 1800 employees who has stagnated in the same job group for over 5 years were promoted.

Security has been enhanced through construction of police stations under a joint agreement with the National Government. The department also operationalized 22 Ward Admin offices, bringing services closer to over 600, 000 residents.

The 2,931 projects implemented under the Malombe administration reflect a transformative development journey anchored on equity, inclusivity, and service delivery. Every department has contributed to building a stronger, more resilient, and economically empowered Kitui County.
